The OMEGA Speedmaster First OMEGA in Space Ref. 310.30.40.50.06.001 honours the Speedmaster's history as the first watch in space, cast in a more compact 39.7 mm case with a blue-grey dial that references the original from the 1960s.
The 316L steel case is fitted with a sapphire crystal shaped like the classic Hesalite crystal, while still offering sapphire's scratch resistance. The chronograph features a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock, with a tachymeter scale on the bezel. The steel bracelet is fitted with a folding butterfly clasp with comfort adjustment.
The watch is manually wound via the OMEGA caliber 3861 with Co-Axial escapement and silicon balance spring, certified as a Master Chronometer and resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The power reserve is 50 hours and the watch is water-resistant to 5 bar (50 metres).
